The more I get to know my boyfriend, I find him resembling Jake Morgendorrfer (Daria and Quinn’s father) in character more and more. As I get older I seem to act more like Helen (their mother).

It’s just weird to me seeing as I started my teen years in the optimistic late 90s that quickly turned into the Columbine era and Daria was a role model to me. Everything she said I concurred so much! On a re-watch I do realise how much of a miserable girl she was and it makes me feel bad for my family and peers back in the day. I never thought I’d see the day that I find myself agreeing with Quinn and even Brittany for some of their commentary regarding Daria’s repellent character traits. But it was the late 90s, the MTV generation was going through changes and we turned into the iKids. I guess this is the part where we are supposed to be happy?

Had the pleasure of meeting the living embodiment of Brittany in Famous Daves Mall of America last week. Girl you made my trip fucking wonderful. Thank YOU for working at Famous Daves you fierce bitch.
