One thing I know for sure about life is that it’s unpredictable. People who you were so close to and loved like family can suddenly turn on you and try to take your own job from you (despite you being the one that got them the job)-this is really happening to someone I’m VERY close to right now and I’m having to suppress all my rage and stay out of vengeance mode.  

I learned a few things this month:

• If you live in your own world, don’t let anyone chastise you for it. It will probably end up saving you in the long run.
• MOST of the time your gut instinct about a person or situation is right. Go with it.

I just found out that a former manager of mine was dismissed because he’s a damn felon and wanted in the state of Florida. From the day I looked into that man’s bloated face and saw his tongue piercing I knew he was a freaky cunt (who still likes to prey on teenagers). So yeah to him I say:

• Don’t try to force anything. If you do you will end up looking stupid as hell. Sometimes things just aren’t for you. Get over it.
• Most of the time you are put in a situation (for a short time) for the sole purpose of learning to appreciate the fact that you aren’t in that situation anymore. And that it. There is no profound, deep reason, it’s just as simple as that.
• This month also reinforced the belief that the Devil always comes smiling.

I had a new job and apparently I didn’t fit in within their perfect company so they made up a bullshit reason to oust me. Well not to sound smug, but less than a week later I found something WAY better. 

So where does Drag Race come in?

I get all my life lessons from Ru and the Drag Race staff/alumni (except Santino, fuck him). 

Everything in life is either a Mini Challenge, Main Challenge, Runway or a ‘Lip Sync For Your Life’.

I’ve had to lip sync about six times within the last two months-in my case job interviews, and guess what I WON EVERY TIME! But it was my lapsed judgment that made me choose certain jobs over others and I ended up sad and miserable-and up for elimination in more ways than one.

I’ve heard ‘Sashay away’ just as many times as I’ve heard ‘Shantay You Stay!’ and it can be very disheartening.

But Rupaul-like God (lol) loves a Tryer and I STAY trying to be the best version of myself I can me. 

So to the people from the old job:

To The shady manager who straight up LIED to me last week and caused me to lose my job:
